I have to say, what a great guy & credit to this hobby.

We were up at Himbleton today & as it was so cold not much flying was being done. Personally I was getting quite lethargic & not up to much.

An old friend of mine - Mike (Heliwilly) turns up with his brand new Rappy, complete novice, and hints that he needs some help setting it up. Now me, I'd be heading home into the warm & slowly getting to grips with a completely unfamilair Tx and taking ages with the whole shebang.

But Steve? - despite the cold, onto the model like a rat up a drainpipe, dialling in settings faster than I can type & onto the case real pdq Within 30 mins had the Rappy flying and basically set-up. I know Mike was chuffed & for me that is what clubs are all about - helping the novices.

So, hopefully, a few of us are flying tomorrow & I know Mike will be gagging to get some hovering in, but without Steve's help it would be many hours away still.

    Thanks Steve - really appreciated

Eddie - if you're listening, maybe another Gold Star nomination!

    Cheers

    David

Thanks David & Mark, I'm always happy to help someone with setup and to be honest, with the cold wind blowing today I was happier setting up than flying

You'll notice I wasn't going to try to sort out my 700's leaking tank today, this can wait until I get the time to sort it out in the warm, nitro fuel + cold weather + cold hands = a step too far! I also managed to get Pauls 450 Sport setup this morning too, the leaking electrons don't affect cold hands so much

I'm much prefering flying the Outrage in this weather, flights are shorter and no fuel on cold hands but the downside is that these modern lipos don't get warm enough to use as hand warmers - maybe I should short one out, with a 6S pack it should keep us all warm
