  • Flew the blade.

Well i got my trainer kit today and flew the blade i got of ebay this week WOW i cannot believe how easy it is to hover it didn't attempt much forward flying but it just about hovers by itself (had it about two foot off the ground)
I have been messing about with a walkera 4g1b and thought the blade would be more difficult to hover i was so wrong.
I remember the walkera 60b i had a couple of years ago(that made me give it all up) and after loads of practise with it i never did as well in the 5mins i had with the blade today i know i am a long way of flying but obviously a well set up helicopter does wonders for a beginner like me.
Sorry if i am ranting on but i bet you all remember your first controlled hover i am well chuffed.

Nice one- I feel this RC helicopter thing is going to be a long slippery slope.

If it is set up well then you will find at easier to fly it. Make's learning more fun.

It must be i had it 2 foot off the ground and i needed minimal correction to keep it in one place also managed to move it forwards and backwards
Its so much easier than that walkera 60b anyways that was like it had a mind of its own uncontrollable.

Yes as i said my 60b seemed to do whatever it wanted i would get it up about 2foot and it would just shoot of left/right/forwards/backwards and i just couldnt stop it.
The little walkera 4g1b aint that bad but no way near the stability of my blade,
It made me think ha so they do hover

Take it past the 2ft mark. The lower you are to the ground the more ground effect will come into play. I remember trying to hover close to the ground and it was a nightmare
