  • Is This Normal 4 an MSR

Is it normal for a msr to rev up when i go left on the transmitter stick.
When the stick is down. I have trimed it for the revs to stayon abit to show wat i mean. And every time i push up on the stick it spins left.

It's early in the morning so bare with me but I'd say yes as it's a fixed pitch heli on both main and tail rotors and requires increased revs to increase the piro rate. I'll verify that my MSR does this tonight when I get home from work.

I would also be tempted to say yes.

If you are turning by reducing the power to the tail rotor, then the heli will rotate with the blades reducing the head speed slightly. This might be a way of keeping a constant height when doing piro's. I would also expect that if turning the other way the main motor might reduce.
This is what I have done on my 450's and 500's add 5% more power when going one way and remove 5% power when rotating the other.

yes it sounds normal to me.

The rev increase is the tail motor speeding up. In the hover, you can hear it speeding up and slowing down.
