I'm looking to maybe get a raptor50, probably used. I guess it should be a v2 with OS engine.
Can you all now tell me what to look out for, and, no doubt, why I should get a knight instead?

Difficuit one there for me. I fly a Knight 50 Sport and think the flight Performance is far higher than the Raptor in 3D flight. (not that I'm a 3D ace).

Here's the but, I had a Raptor 50 for 3 years and I can't praise it highly enough, stable and great to fly. Also you can get the spares at Tesco's (well almost).

So my advice to you would probably the same as Raptor50luvver buy a Raptor 50 if you can V2 and also stick with OS and Futaba Gyro's. You just can't go run wrong with them.

        Hope this helps
        Cheers Matt

Your best bet is if possible to take someone with some experience with you so as to be done over, as its easily done to someone who doesnt know what they are looking at.

In my eyes a decent 50 has an OS50, GY401 gyro with 9254 tail servo, 3001 servos a minimum spec (I use 9252) so try and get one with better servos. Governor is optional but nice to have. Expect to spend around £400 for a good V2 with the above spec or better.

I priced a new build over the summer of a Raptor 50 Titan here is the info
            Titan Kit £240-£280
            OS 50 Hyper Engine £120-£165
            GY401 Gyro with 9254 servo £125-£160
            3001 Servos £40
            RX £40-£80
on/off switch and misc bits and bobs £20

            Total £585-£745

            Extras
            MP2 (pipe) £55
            Rev max £55
            Carbon Blades £40

These are guide line prices as they very with where you shop.

There may be a myth about it being cheaper, sure the booms are cheap at £7 but apart from that most things are the same or more than TT parts equivalent but Quick UK Rappy parts are cheaper still..

Last week i brought £60`s worth of Sport spares from Mr Models so i had some in so to speak,we totted the prices up and the TT Rappy equivalents came to £58
