Think I will do that. At the moment the orientation is arse about face and I have the muffler line / outlet on the bottom.

Blimey! Does the build manual show it like that? or did you buy the model pre-assembled?

Edit: Just read the build manual and it states:

"Assemble the fuel stopper (found in the bag with the upper frames) (4.1) by bending the longer aluminum tube (connects to muffler nipple) so it will end at the top inside the fuel tank. Align the short straight aluminum tube level to the engine carburetor fuel intake. Secure with M3x18 screw supplied in clutch/fan
        package and tie wrap (4.2 & 4.3)"

I see all the tubes go in thru the one single bung so I guess that piece of ali tube needs to bent upwards towards the top of the tank and correctly oriented when installed.

Mart secondhand peice of shit from eBay
Just going over the fuel tank bit now this morning. Found some doozeys. He never had a cable tie over the fuel stopper. The M3x18 (if it's that and not some woodscrew) he's put through from the tank side instead of from the outside.

Mart, the drawing shows both lines running horizontally not with the muffler return at the top. It does say about bending the alu tube vertically though. Think I might need a new one as mine is split and looks like it has heat damage would this be possiblly caused from hot air coming from muffler?

Yep - that's exactly what it says: "bending the longer aluminum tube (connects to muffler nipple) so it will end at the top inside the fuel tank"

Don't bend it thru right angles tho - a gentle bend is perhaps all it will need such that the end inside the tank will be a few mm away from the top of the tank.

Sounds like you will need a new piece of pipe if it's split. I kinda doubt it will have been caused by hot gasses as, I'd have thought, for it to be hot enough to damage the ali tube, it would probably have melted the fuel pipe between the tank and the muffler.

That's what I would of thought aswell Martin but it's certainly discoloured and deteriorated. Possibly the fuel has caused this?

I can take a photo to show you what I mean. Just looked at Century UK website and I'd have to buy a new fuel tank to replace the fuel stopper. Nice.

Update: Just checked Century USA and they have a seperate item that has just the fuel stopper, clunk, alu tubes etc. Sigh why doesn't Century UK stock them. No wonder why they suck

I wonder if I could pickup the same diameter alu tube from a hobbystore and make my own?

Does it need a new stopper, or just the piece of ali pipe? I'd reckon you can buy the ali pipe from a decent modelling shop and simply pull the old bit out and shove the new bit in.

Just closely looking at it Mart, it's not the Century fuel stopper that came with the kit. Heaven knows what the previous owner did with the original one.

                  Update:
Well the previous owner hasn't assembled the fuel stopper around the right way he's got the plastic part that goes inside the tank on the outside. So there is no way to tighten the screw to compress the rubber.
Not sure what good the cable tie would do as it's against a plastic cap (the manual states it's rubber).

I'd change that ali pipe for sure and, when putting the stopper back into the tank, I'd orient it such that ali pipe is in the 12 o'clock position and the clunk line is at 6. That way the bend you'd need to put in the ali pipe would not be too severe and it'd still reach near to the top of the tank.

That clunk line does look a little long, but then I don't know how far back your tank goes.

Mart, what you say about the clunk is what I was thinking when I read the manual. It says 1/8th (assuming inches) from the back of the tank.

Picked up some malleable brass tubing for the tank from Hobbystores and just making a peice up now.
