  • real flight g3?

I know pheonix is the championed flight sim at the moment, but it was really someone passing on real flight g3 that got me interested in the hobby.

It was a loan, and i still have it I don't think I would have leaned to hover for real so quickly if it wasn't for g3.

Anyone else rate it? and is it an accurate representation of REAL rc heli flight?

    Just curious what others think

    cheers

I had RF G3 before I got Phoenix. It is quite accurate for fixed-wing but not as accurate as Phoenix for helis.

I have not used it in a long time now so I might open it up again and see how the helis fly now that I'm used to Phoenix.

But for hovering and orientation it is certainly good enough and is still the best plank sim I have tried.

Real Flight have improved the G series quite alot from the early days. I am running the very latest G5 and am very happy with it.

I know that this forum has a preference for Pheonix and so as a result have made several trials but cannot notice a difference great enough to justify the expense to change.

it seemed to do the trick for me before I got my first model, will have to have a go at pheonix in the near future though.

Do you do that by online updates?

I left the hobby 3 years ago and discovered Women.

Updates up to and including 4.5 are done online and are free but the jump to G5 requires the purchase of software on CD. I paid a very charitable $80 Dollars from Tower Hobbies.

I have Pheonix and RealFlight 3.5 plus all the Extensions. Both are good, but they are different. G3.5 is easier to set-up different settings parameters and TX settings.
