Sounds o.k, radio bit micky mouse (no rates).
Will start looking at used helis on b.m.f.a site ect.

Thats what this site is for. Its all down to personal experience John, I was once diddled into buying an eight year old heli with a crap radio, iffy engine & next to zero parts availability & I've also fallen foul of the cheap chinese crap on ebay.Also wasted hundreds on the micro stuff. I've blown far too much money getting where I am now, and if mine and other's peoples cockups can prevent newcomers doing the same then it has to be worth it

You really do get what you pay for as many will tell you, and if you are sure the hobby is for you then the more you invest in good gear now, the less trouble you'll have in the future and you wont have to buy everything all over again. Again I've been there done that
Research the forums and do searches for comments or posts if you can find them of any heli that you like the look of and take note of the helis people have good things to say about. It wouldnt make sense to buy something you've heard nothing about & nobody's heard of, even if it does look pretty!

Good people on this forum much better than the other one iam in !
Even in model shops i get conflicting advice. same with most hobbys.
Finding people you can trust is hard in the retail trade.
I will carry on asking people and work it out from there.
Did that before. It worked with the fish , cooking , ham radio.
Going to MAKE it work with helis.

You all have a brill new year will keep you posted as to what iam doing.

It was his dads complete outfit not flown for 10 years ! Worth a look ? Or to old ? ( parts ect )

Agree with Gazza - unless it's a freebie you're probably not going to get if fixed up for much less than a recent S/H one and you're almost certainly going to need new radio gear. Still no harm in having a look

Hi

Havent tried any of the others and am still having trouble simply getting off the ground but i have just got a mini pred 3d. Parts are dead cheap and easy to get.Have just fitted carbon blades and it seems to handle so much better now i can almost hover within a few moments of fitting. Dont know if any of this info helps but thought id mention it.

Hi mate

Started with tw bell 47 back in june ended up bored. So got a c.p v2.
Mistake ! very unstable tryed everything to calm it down the people on here
are a great help even they said get rid ! so iam going to the field full up
3d s.w on and let the heligod sort it out !!!
Then go out and get something NICE !!!!
