  • twister cp v2 help

    Hi everyone.
I do hope these questions are not to daft !
Would swappiing carbon for wood blades alter the handling at all ?
also are bigger helis more docile. They seem to be on the sim.
Still finding my twis cp a right handfull !!!
Even after asking in model shops , watching setup videos and reading online.
I fitted extra flybar weights still to no avail.
    Any advice ?

    Ta

    Hi mate,

    I had a CPV2 last year...
Fitting wooden blades will soften the responses somewhat yeah, but the twitchiness you're stuck with I'm afraid!

Thats why I got shut of mine.
Larger helis are easier to fly and learn on yes, Which sim do you have?
    Cheers,

    Gazza

        No worries mate.
You can also bring the control rods in a couple of holes on the servo arms as I did, if you havent already. That will reduce the throws and desensitise the heli a bit.
        Cheers,

        Gazza

The twister medevac is a much better 1st heli or indoor heli its very stable and good to learn the basics with,
Other than that from my experiance with micro heli i wouldnt bother
Go for a 30/50 ic you wont beleive how much more stable they are than the small electrics, Ok you cant fly em indoors but who realy want to be stuck indoors all the time

Hi mate glad you got it sorted.
In my experience and anyone please feel free to correct me, any heli of that age is best left alone.
Parts may still be available but they'll be a lot harder to source and get in a hurry. Standard crash items which you'll come to need regularly (Hopefully not TOO regularly ) such as bladegrips, mainshafts, feathering spindles etc
                    may be difficult to find.

Generally once a heli gets to around 6 years old the modelshops tend to regard as semi-absolete to make way for the newer popular stuff.
Plus the radio will be very dated, batteries will prob be duff and the servos....Well they'll probably be shite as well.
                    Cheers,

                    Gazza

I'm sorry mate I cant help you with the eco7 I've not heard anything about them.
If you google 'Eco 7 review I'm sure something helpful will turn up
Or maybe someone here knows summat?

Having been all electric for the past six or so months mate I've found the small stuff a total waste of money.
I spent loads on my CPV2 to try and give it better manners (Aluminium skids, head, uprated servos, swashplate etc) but it was a waste of money and I lost out big time when I ebayed it.

I might have a Swift for sale soon Not decided yet.
                        Cheers,
