Just a quick question I have a heli that runs on Hitec HFD-08RD fm rx and a setup of Hitec HS-325HB and HS-311 (tail). Could I run these servos off of a Spektrum 7000?

Sweet so all I need to do is put digital rx into it and the nitro I've got will be digital and run off my DX6i (or if I upgrade to the DX7).
I don't really fancy upgrading the servos as I'd like to just move it on once it's flyable.Darryl

I would of thought a 6200 as it's a .32 nitro heli and that it's a larger scale than what you'd use a 6100 on which is mostly 450s and smaller.
You're right there is no governor but I'm thinking of using the rx on future helis anyway.Darryl

Hi Darryl, the size of the reciver has no bearing on what it can and cant be used for they are simply smaller or bigger to accomodate fiiting into a tiny or bigger space or the requirement for more channels and or feautures.Originally posted by dam74 View PostI would of thought a 6200 as it's a .32 nitro heli and that it's a larger scale than what you'd use a 6100 on which is mostly 450s and smaller.

yes there is slightly more security in a rx with a satalite but given how reliable the 2.4g Spektrum gear is you "could" use a 6100 in a 700 if you really wanted to as helis never fly anywhere even close to the limit of "park flyer" range, but i would not advise that of course, consider vibes and fuel residue getting inside it some how, not good so a hard cased rx is a better choice.Alex

Right Alex, while I know you could easily use the 6100 if you kept it in range, which I'd probably would be doing anyway I thought the 6200 was the prefered choice for larger helis. Good point about the fuel however it will be located at the front of the heli considerably far enough away from the tank and engine. I guess if a fuel line breaks and starts spraying fuel everywhere it's a different matter.Darryl
