    I read it as selling the heli minus battery on sale on ebay and he will give up helis and stay with land based R/C.

    If the Lipo has been over-discharged then it will not (probably) be replaced... but Horizon are very good and who knows.... they may replace it out of goodwill.

      Given this was a Horizon supplied lipo used on a Horizon supplied Blade 400 - surely the ESC should have gone into LVC before the lipo was damaged, so I would hope they would replace the lipo - I bet they will.

      If not, its worth trying to find someone local to you with a Cellpro charger, as this could recover the pack - or see this thread http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/batter...orn-again.html - the Cellpro 4S which was discontinued seems to have re-emerged under a different name priced at £41 and comes with a free adaptor lead for 2S/3S/4S std lipo connectors which is a great price.

        bunny hopping garden learners can easily miss the cut off point and miss the low volt cut off and carry on till A, you crash or B you lose headspeed and land....i got a t-shirt

            If you hover out the pack instead of keep landing(like you do when you start hovering) it kicks in when the cells get to a certain volt ie 3.7,the heli drops power breifly till you land and is noticable.But if you spool up the power regains untill you kill the lipo,or crash

            If your landing/taking off 10 times in 5 mins you can miss the drop in power

            Once you can fly/hover for the duration of the pack you can work out the timer to fly with

              You should set a timer for say 6 minutes and stop when it beeps - even if you are hopping - you will not be able to concentrate for longer than this anyway, so should stop and take a breather, and change packs.

                I have mine set to around 4.5 - 5 min. I have taken it past this point once and I think the loss in power caused a crashed while mid piro.
