  • Pitch setting for learning.

Hi all, been setting up the swash, head, pitch etc on my X-treme. does the same theory disscused in the raptor thread a while back raptor pitch discussion hold tru with mine ie centre is 0degrees/half throttle +10 -10 tuned in the curve to about +8 -3 or 4

At max I've got +15 and some, but the scale only goes to 15 and -15 is that probably a bit much?

    Thanks as always

    .well.......+11/0/-11....3d stuff...if your feeling mad...go +13/0/-13
    +11/0/-4 ...lerning,,,

keep the curves straight...makes a better fly.

+15 is way too much and will overload your motor - make +10 your max (use ATV swash settings on pitch) and make low stick 0 or a few degrees negative eg -2 4 10 - personally I found flattening the pitch curve around centre stick made hovering easier - you have enough to worry about without the heli bouncing up and down like on springs due to an over sensitive colloective.

Opinions vary about low stick settings - having 0 will cushion the bump if you 'chop the throttle' - don't - whilst having some negative will make it come down faster in wind or a thermal (yes we have those over tarmac this time of year at around 35C)

you want at least -6 negative with around + at the top and half way at mid stick.

-2 for circuits is a pain. it makes it so hard to descend
