Battery charging (Bantam BC6)

Hey folks, i just received my bantam BC6 dual power charger today but when trying to charge/balance any of my batteries i just keep getting the CONNECTION BREAK error message, that is with all my batts, i'm using the supplied balance board and have also tried another balance board that i bought as an extra and getting the same with both,

charger settings are as follows
Lipo Balance 1.0A 11.1v(3s)

As mentioned charger and balance boards are all brand new, batteries are not but this is now 3 different batteries i've tried and getting the same message for each,

anyone got this charger? where am i going wrong? or is the charger faulty?
I've ordered 3 new batteries so hopefully they will turn up tomorrow so i'll try again with these but i doubt that all 3 batteries can be busted, but who knows..

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, as the weather here is not too bad and was hoping to get out for a bit of flying tomorrow but its looking unlikely if i cant get my batteries charged...

on the BC6 you need to join the battery with the main leads as well as the balance leads.

also DO NOT let the 12v crocodile clips touch when your using it on mains.

I put mine on a deans lead near the unit so I can unplug them.

but other than that its a good charger

hi Rudi I had the same problem as you phoned the shop up where I bought it felt such a fool when he said did you connect the main battery leads to the charger

lol,, i can imagine mate, i was gonna do the same myself but thought i'd post here first,, as i said you'd think with something so important that they'd mention it in the book...

I have to say the instructions really arnt clear on it, but as I said apart from that its a good charger.

The only other thing keep your receipt as the screens on them have been known to die I got mine replaced as i kept the receipt.

Crap! dont know where my receipt is! ive had it two years now,good charger though well worth the money imo

If you have had it 2 years you aint gonna have to worry where your receipt is. if the screen hasn't gone by now the it probably going to be ok for the foreseable.
