I did stop counting reasonably quickly Paul. Just wanted to know what I was letting myself in for before I let myself in for it.

I remember buying my B400 RTF with lipo and charger and thinking, "sh*t this is expensive for an Rc helicopter". If only i had known what I was letting myself in for then after a few thousand has left my hands lol!

Oh it's going to cost money!

I've got a spreadsheet for all my heli expenses. Factoring in my most recent heli purchase, spares, crash repairs, nitro, tools, field kit, lessons, traveling to fly-in's + overnights, club fees, insurance etc I'm up to £2600 since January.

But I dont care, passing my "A" & completing my first loops made it all worth while!!!!

Sounds a lot but, in all honesty, I'm probably not far from this myself. I bet there's a good few that could blow this figure out of the water too!

Are you two trying to scare him off

My walkera 4#3b cost me £125 and £300 in spares in 5 months, then I got my blade 400, by the time I got set up with that a couple of batteries a cellpro 4s charger, phoenix and the first crash out of the way that was over £600 with probably a few hundred more spent it subsequent crashes. Now bearing in mind I got a TX, charger and the sim already it still cost me £850 to get the Rave airbourne with 3 batteries.

There's no help out there Brian! If we were addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling or fast food we'd get support & treatment on the NHS, but what we do isn't even recognized as a disease yet! Im lobbying my local MP, so that I & others like me get the care we so desperatly need.

Til then mate, basicaly, we're F***ed!
