  • Belt Cp blade grips

    Hi guys

Having trouble undoing the nuts on the blade grips as i need to change the mainshaft, would these be loctited in ? they seem pretty tight.

    They probably are locktighted.

Just make sure you are using good quality drivers and they should come loose.

Be carefull not to round off the screws as drilling them out will be a real pain!

The feathering spindle nuts are M3 nyloc nuts, and are best undone with a pair of 5.5mm nut drivers/ box spanners (need to be slim ones, or they won't fit in the grips; I used a pair of Wera ones), though I have been told the ones here are slim, too, and probably slightly cheaper:

      The Flight Box Pliers/Wrenches

The alloy head instead uses M2 bolts, which you will need a 1.5mm hex key for.

The thrust races inside the grips are marginally different sizes (inside vs outside), so be sure the put them back in the right way around, with the smaller on the outside.
