  • walkera dragonfly 76c battery upgrade

    hi all i'm new here and new to rc helis my question is i have just got a walkera dragonfly 76c form netsaveit on ebay and i would like to get a better
    battery for it can i only use the ni-mh type of battery that came with it or can i use a lipo battery if i can use a lipo what type of lipo do i need and where can i get a lipo battery and charger i only have £50 so can anyone help

    You're probably better off sticking with the existing kit - as has been mentioned many times on this and other fora - Walkera products are loaded with problems from dodgy electronics to poor quality parts. So I'd keep your 50 quid in the piggy bank and save it towards something longer lasting if you decide you'd like to get into the hobby. Even with Wlakera stuff it' essential its set up right so have a good gander at a good beginner guide eg http://www.readyheli.com/Beginner_He...ideos_s/73.htm Even better find an experienced pilot who can check it for you - if its on Ebay its likely the former owner crashed it and got disgruntled.

      Looks like that seller is an importer so "should" be new...I think a 11.v 800mah li-po pack should be ok but your looking at £25 for a half good one then there is a charger....I would say pick up a couple more Ni-mh packs youll get teh extra flifht time..you just need to change the battery
