does the radio/ connect with the pc on these?

If you have a search on these forums for your specific questions, you'll find a lot of useful info already posted.

Not sure what advise you are looking for with regard to the engine?
12v battery: I purchased a large-ish 12 volt (85 Amp) leisure battery which works very well. It won;t fit in smaller flight boxes though!

Good flight sim: Phoenix, every time. Yes, you use your Tx plugged into your PC with this sim.

Join the BMFA as a country member for £20 ish quid - this gives you £5 million 3rd party liability insurance. Join a club to fly in a safe environment and speed up your learning process too. Some club membership fees include the BMFA membership payment, so check into that first... no point paying for it twice!

    Cheers,

You should deff lookup your nearest club, and get them to check out your heli for you before you do anything with it,

I second Phoenix as a recommendation, stunning product with loads of good free updates coming out..

British developer so deserves our support..

Skyline are the main supplier but its pretty much available everywhere now or as sid suggested, you can purchase it direct from their own website

Thankfully, Phoenix is availble to us now, because if it wasn't the recommendation would be to buy Reflex XTR, and if you're balking at £80 for the best sim, then there's no way you'd buy Reflex at £130... the previous best sim!

A decent sim is a sound investment.
                  Cheers,

As a Newbie myself I too agree that Phoenix IS the way to go

I look at the £80 as a sound investment when I compare it to the Money and time I have just invested in my Heli.

Look at the price of Main Blades etc and just think, if Phoenix prevents a couple of the "uncontrolled landings" that you will have it has paid for it's self and it great fun too

Go on take the fear out of those first few flights, get a sim !

So no hurry then, won't be flyable up there until next.... June maybe

Sure it can't actually be much worse than the rest of the UK really, at least the scenery is nice.
