Steep learning curve

Had my first crash today, everything was going great had it airborn just practicing my hover then all of a sudden i lost my signal to the heli. nothing i could do but watch it come crashing to the ground.

once i'd shut it down tried to find the reason for this crash i fouond the rx crystal had fallen out? But never mind i did learn one thing today make sure the crystal in firmly in place before i fly.

now got to strip it down and find out how much damage was done, i know i need new blades and tail support but not sure what else was damaged.

try putting tape over the crystal as well it will hold it in place for you and a lot less chance of it coming loose

Unlucky m8y,at least you know why it went in....good suggestion with the tape,my father wraps his RX's with foam and tape

hi try a little trick from my car racing days put it in a balloon ur plugs will not come ou t as well keeps it dry as well

Shame about the crash. Doesn't look too bad. Hopefully you'll be flying again soon.

Looking at the picture it doesnt look too bad..I have 2 sets of 550mm woodies... a set of tail supports..boom and a belt from my Raptor 30 days..your welcome to them mate just pm me

Good going Terry Hard lines Davie... the first ones always the hardest (like i told you ). You'll be flying again in no time mate. Only bloody night i dont go too club and it happens lol

Nice one terry.

One thing to remember about RC stuff is that if it can possibly come loose it will do, almost always at the worst possible moment.

Threadlock everything and tiewrap or tape everything else down
