Has anybody else been playing around with the MSR and making little landing pads in their house? I've been scattering around cd jewel cases and using them to practice tail in, nose in and side on hovering and landing. Kind of fun to do when the weather is naff

Yeah I was thinking about pulling out one of my cd tower racks and trying to land on the top. The problem with that though is what you might notice is an aircushion effect. For instance when I hover about 3-5cm off the cd case on low power it is perfect but if it goes past the edge of the coffee table it all of a sudden loses that lift and drops suddenly. So becareful doing it over such a small area, if the tail clips the bar stool it will produce a lot of forward movement and end up in a collision with a wall. Done many a times so far Sounds you're doing what I'm doing. I bought a Century Hawk Pro and a Blade 400 and got myself Phoenix Sim but I'm using the MSR to get used to the TX and have a bit of a laugh around the house.

I now always take off from palm of my hand, managed to land it on bear can, turned page over in a book, flown it in my motor whilst mi lady was in the shop, cant think of half the stuff I've done with her now, oh yeah I took it to work got into a hover then take it out of the air & throw it back in the air thats great fun.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Tourejim, I sometimes launch from my hand, especially if outside as the grass sometimes causes it to topple over. All I've done is land on a coaster and cd case regularly. As for flying spaces I can fly it down my corridor which is about a meter wide.

Whenever I've shown it to anyone, for some reason the first thing they want me to show them is how small an area I can land on! Best I've managed to date was the palm of someone's hand.
