  • Tool Boxes

Just a bit of a suggestion, some of you might already be fully aware of this but those starting out might be interested. B&Q do aluminium tool cases in a variety of sizes they do a small with dividers for 12.98, a large with dividers for 19.98 and a toolbox for 24.98 which opens up and has 3 levels shelves with dividers. They also do two aluminium boxes for 19.98 which has no dividers.

I bought the toolbox and the double pack but will return the double pack tomorrow. Wanted to get the toolbox home and see if it does the job for all my B400 spares and tools. Does the job nicely

I've emptied out my homebase small pliers, sidecutters, longnose set and put that in the aluminium box directly. Removed the lining from the homebase plastic box (had cutouts for the pliers) and am now using that box to store all my MSR spares.

I'm looking well organised (and a bit of a pratt)

No sounds ok to me, ok so one day you think ok lets buy a heli and fly it at my local club. What you didnt think is that four helis later you would have so much stuff IE the starting stuff, fuel, tools, spare parts etc thats a lot to carry oh and lets not forget the food and coffee.

While I'd love one of those .50 size helis I don't think my flat could accomodate Think I'm going to stick to 450s.

I go those aluminium cases little while ago B&Q also do wheeled toolboxes for £40, though at the minute they are half price and made by Black and Decker, there is a tool tray inside as well. I have one and it contains all of my field kit (fuel, fuel pump, starter plus battery, tacho) plus one toolbox with all small tools inside, plus I fit my spare blades for my trex on the tray, along with spare batteries, and a range of bits and pieces. AND its sturdy enough to sit on or use as a bench for setting up etc BARGAIN!!!

Murph, if I get ever get my nitro up and running I might get a wheeled one as you need more things as you said such as fuel, starters etc.

The alumuniums are great for electrics though to keep spares and tools in.

The Black and Decker 3-in-1 wheeled toolbox is 74-79gbp at the moment and has a wheeled toolbox plus a toolbox that locks ontop and has an organiser aswell.
It's nice and I want one for work.

There is another wheeled box from Black and Decker, though it isn't on their site or B&Q's!! But they do have one cos I got one at B&Q in York, Clifton Moor at half price Its worth a visit to your local one and take a look

Been to my two locals and the only Black and Decker one that I liked is the wheeled one that is 70-80gbp. I think I know the one you talk about as there is one in America that has a wheeled box on the bottom and a large organiser/toolbox on top (looks mostly organiser).
