Buy the right pipe 1st time and have done with it why spend twice ?

So for a 50 Machine MP 5/6 or Hatori pipe would be fine

By the looks of it Hatori are approx. £120+ mark, where MP5 is approx the £65 mark...

How do they compare to the Thunder Tiger 3D Muffler?

I am running the stock TT Raptor muffler on my Rappy 50 v2 - It might be 'strangling' the OS50 Hyper engine a little when compared to the MP5 or whatever but it does the job and is not too noisy (especially compared with the Align 600 pipe!) and I am likely to stick with using it until I feel I need to unleash the full power of the Hyper when my flying skills are up to it - its plenty ok at the moment for basic flips and circuits stuff...

I would say keep the money, use the stock muffler and spend the cash when you prang the heli

'Just to add, a pipe is also a very safe thing to buy 2nd hand because as long as it is in physically good condition it will work and will last a long time.

I've bought X2 second hand MP5 pipes, both were under £50.
Still have the first one on my 600 & runs a dream.

              Not if you are beginning.

But do yourself a favor and have a look at these: Just Engines J'EN Heli Mini Pipes

I have the 50 version on my Trex and it works great.

Excellent pipe and very good value for money.

              Cheers

Dunno which hatori you are looking at but the two I've got were under £60. I think you must be looking at the pilot named stick banger special version...
Mine looks almost exactly like the align 3D muffler but its stronger in thicker ali and is a bit quieter.
Probably any of the 3D type mufflers that fast-lad lists that fit the os50hyper will do you fine.
If you get a raptor there is a muffler in the kit I think which will do to begin with. The 600n does not come with a muffler unless you get the kit version that comes with motor.
