    Hi all,

I am gonna have to buy one of these for my twister storm 3d battery:

Avicraft Ltd: Helicopters - Accessories - Twister - TWISTER 3D STORM LIPO BALANCING CHARGER

Now here is what I really need to know:

    1. Are there any cheaper suitable charges that anyone knows that are cheaper than the one above?

    2. Instead of using this: Avicraft Ltd: Helicopters - Accessories - Twister - TWISTER 3D STORM AC POWER SUPPLY (UK)
can I just use the wall charger bit of the CX2 charger instead? Possibly with the blade 400 charger?

PS does anyone know where to get cheap DX6i's? the cheapest I can find is £124.99

    Many thanks!
    Rob.

Cheaper than £15? I guess there may be some out there...

It might be worth looking for a used DX6i. I got mine from here for £40 about 6 months ago. They are few and far between tho.

Do you need the Rx too? If not:

http://www.inwoodmodels.com/product_...351e81e953d7b4 (might be worth calling to check this one - they are a good company but the website looks like a new upgrade)

      Mart,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I need a RX aswell. I have a 35Mhz RX but I have been told the dx6i is the way to go. I thought I did well to get my twister storm for £90 but it turns out that after I get the 2 parts to the charger, dx6i and possibly even a new battery (it looks ok but smells a little bit when i get my nose close), it will be the same as a brand new blade 400! Quite dis-heartening really.
Those parts will probably add up to around £200 than plus £90 for the heli.

Very expensive. Just dunno if I can bring myself to pay that much money. But I know I would enjoy it so much.

      Regards,
      Rob.

Alas Rob, this is (or can be) a very expensive hobby. The DX6i is a great radio tho.

Be patient, keep your eyes open and you may find a DX6i comes up here. I'm not sure if you have enough posts or not yet to post a want ad? If so, go for it. If not, get posting!

Failing that, sell the twister for whatever you can get for it and buy a new Blade 400?

Rob, I have that charger and power supply - you can have both for a tenner. I don't think you can use the CX2 one - it don't think it can deliver the current.

Where abouts are you? Near Avicraft?

                      Jack,

Sorry to be rude but are you selling yours for £10 or are you saying you got yours for £10 from avi craft? If so may I ask how?

Yes I am fairly close to avicraft.

                      Regards,
                      Rob.

I live in the Bromley I will let you know later - will need to dig it out - hope it is where I think it is - not looked for it in a while.

EDIT: Really sorry Rob...I have looked and can't think for the life of me where it is. I hope it wasn;'t part of a big clean out recently...although I have a feeling it was
