  • Did My First Nose In Today....

Having purchased a raptor 50 on the weekend, i was amazed how much more stable it is to fly than my hawk sport, therefore after a Gallon fuel through the hawk over the last month, i felt the urge to do a bit more than the usual hovers and lazy 8s!.

Took the rappy up high and turned it nose in, hovered for a minute or 2, came towards me then went back to boom in and set it down...fantastic!!
had a quick smoke to calm the nerves then did it again for half a tank of fuel this time.

Now i know its not much to you experienced lads but to me this is a major milestone!.

Hopefully ill have a go at circuits next

      Don't put yourself down.

Only people who fly RC Helicopters will understand how difficult it is.

      Well done!

everyone should learn with a raptor.

Great heli's IMO, but then I may be biased...

well done on the nose in

                Well done

I understand how hard it is.... i'm still bumping across the floor with my training gear on. Every two seconds off the floor is more exciting than the last. 3d pilots make it all look easy but really every new move is just as great as spanking it.

I think this is what 450's are designed for.
Easy to pack into a handy plastic bag when you are done
                    hehe

Well done with the nose in, once you have confidence in all orientations you will be able to attempt all sorts of silly things

It is a great buzz that becomes very addictive, I now always take off & land nose in.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I was mostly doing tail-in take offs and landings (hops) on the weekend. Did try to turn nose in and then my orientation went off and it started banking the wrong way so I just took it down to the ground. Then thing is I can do it in Phoenix no problem

I always land tail in, it just seems safer somehow
