ok this is for rc car but i think the thoery would be the same and if anyone knows you guys would, my daughters partner has just been given a rc car for his birthday his got 2 batteries for it one is9.6 v and 75o mah and the other is 9.6v and 600 mah does that matter they are exactly the same size .maybe someone could explain what this means

9.6v is the voltage, this determines how fast the motor will spin. On a car think of this as horse power.
600mah is the capacity, on a car think of this as the size of the fuel tank.
The voltage must the right for the car, too little and it will be slow, too much and you will blow up the electrics.
The capacity will just determine how long the battery lasts for, but they dont have to be identical.sigpic
