HoneyBee fp POWER LOSS?

Hi all, new to this and looking for help !
Got a new heli today a honeybee fp and have a problem. Followed the instructions for setup and test(all bits in place everything moves when meant to and in right direction) but does not lift of floor even with full throttle.
Left lipo to cool then charged as per instructions 2 hours 30 and tried again still not enough lift only 1 - 2 in off floor (tx standard without duel rate) any help much appreciated

What charger are you using?

Can you check the battery voltage with a multimeter?

It sounds like the battery isnt charged.

If the battery is ok then it may be a ESC or motor problem.

Lipo 2 cell 7.4v 800mAh

Test voltage 8.4

cell 1 4.19v
cell 2 4.18v

Battery tests ok?

honeybee uses 4in1 unit and 370 motor (how do i test these)

Does the motor or ESC get hot?

You can check that the motor pinoin isnt very tightly meshed against the main gear.
There should be some very very slight backlash in between the maingear and the pinion.

As I dont know much about the honeybee I cant help with setting up the ESC or testing the motor.

As its a brushed motor it may help to clean it with brake cleaner spray. Also make sure that the brushes are making contact with the commutator and that they move freely (assuming that the motor is a similar design to an RC car motor)

I would use a beefier lipo, mate - I used a 3s 11.v 1200mah in my FP heli. I think as you have a new heli - the motor and ESC should all be in good working order and only the lipo is letting you down.

I had the Walkera Dragonfly 4 but I used an esky 4 in 1 just like in the honey bee as it far superior to the walkera 4in1.

I used the 370 motor for a while and they should last a long time before burning out. I then fitted a brushless motor for insane power.

You could also try CF blades which may help and will give higher head speed resulting in better stability.

May be wrong here, but if 2.4Ghz, was it bound with the throttle all the way down??
