If you think they have made one that wont let you crash you`re wrong. Simple as that.

A flight stabilisation system will certainly help you get going but in the end you need to get used to flying without one if you wish to progress to any degree.

I agree with what Tosh said,it was a very valid point. Before you fire up the engine or connect the Lipo, you gotta be prepared to accept it might well crash. If you dont, then leave it in the car.

Best stabilisation device = training sticks, but not infallible!

I use the helicommand and it works great. I have the rigid version and I primarily use it just for the rigid mode and use position hold to change Tx settings, check timer, go for a cup of tea, etc. . It really takes the stress out of flying when your reactions are feeling slow.

Another one from FMA called the Co-Pilot II sounds like a decent system.

Both have lots of reviews, do a search to help you decide.

I've briefly use used the spartan AP200i with FMA sensor. Have to say take the pain out flying.
Well i bought it like you worried but time i got it installed got past the hump/worry (still crash mind) Well Friend wanted a go so got round to setting it up. Heli was 450 clone very cheap 9g servos!! even on tail <g> Well on the day got there and i really hadn't spent any time setting up gyro...
In the hover tweaked setting for a start. They where very high but good for him and me to take off him!! Very strange indeed, push stick forward move let go leveled up as i let go strange feeling. Couldn't really do nose in either and tail had a thing going on! Meaning would flick tail 180 degrees but didn't worry spartan had it level all the time. Did go on to lose into distance and without spartan it would have crash never to be found again!! but i got it back.

I'd say get that but have to money get helicommader that will do it all. Ap200i in my eyes is just enough to get you too next step and quite a bit cheaper.

I bought and sold mine for about that money. So no brainier in my eyes.

BTW thats nothing to do with me that sale.
