What flying experience do you have?

      Can you fly planks/gliders?
      Can you hover a heli?
      R/C cars perhaps?
Does it have to be a 6 chan model?

If you have no experience then here's my suggestion.

mCX with TX (robust and cheap spares - you'll learn 80% of what you need 2 know) You'll get far more air time by flying indoors than you'll ever get with a 'ful sized' models.

      followed by..

mSR Bind N Fly (use the TX from the mCX) - robust and cheap spares - you'll learn 19% of whats left

      followed by...

Phoenix sim (you'll obviously need a pc - download the demo to check it works on your hardware)

      followed by...

by then the worlds your oyster - go nitro or electric (you'll then spend 1,000's learning the remaining 1%)

      Welcome

I agree about Ebay. In my experience Ebay can be a source of both real bargains and absolute riff-offs because sellers are not always truthful and photos do not always reveal the details. Yeah you have the feedback system but that's little consolation after the fact, and trying to wrangle with Paypal's 'dispute system' just adds insult to injury sometimes (Paypal are idiots).

So far I have found BMFA classified and RCHA members to be much more honest in general.

With a proper model shop you are protected by UK selling regs and manufacturers warranties on new stuff.
