training gear for neon blaize

can you give me some advice on the size of training gear we should put on a neon blaize, is there a way of working it out. the reason i ask is my friend has one and the first thing he done was to crash the thing so the bloke in the shop gave him a set(he thought they were supplied), but last night when we took it out they seemed very short and he was still able to topple over luckily no damage was done but it was close, so we put on the ones i use for the blade and it was fine.

If Blade's ones are not too heavy then use them.
