  • Align ESC setup problem?

    Hi Folks,

Finally got the 250 kit delivered and built with a combination of ALign manual, FInless and Jasmine info - All looking good so far and everything seems to be doing what it's menat to do and in the right direction.
All wires tucked away and held in place an looks reasonable.

    Now I'm stuck.

No power to the motor. So what daft thing am I doing wrong?
When I go through the ESC set up according to the manual and this seems to agree with varous posts on the same subject, nothing physical happens.

I get all sorts of beeps, followed by what I presume are 5 sets of status beeps telling me the current (default?) settings, then nothing else.
Throttle curve set to 0, 25, 50, 75 100 as instructed, no offsets.

    Any thoughts appreciated!

    Cheers.

    Bill.

Sounds to me like it could be your throttle channel is reversed so when you turn it on with throttle down you actually have throttle up and are going into the programming set up?

Either way - whilst experiementing with the ESC, make sure you move the motor so the pinion is not engaged with the main gear, then if it spins up by accident it won't try and kill you.

Ah ha, and so we have an answer. Not actually the reversing of the throttle channel, just plugged into the wrong socket........derrrrrrr. Must have done it whilst trying to stow all the wires and reconnect to receiver....fiddling around up inside the frame and trying to hard to make it all tidy??? Either this beasty is TINY or my fingers are too big and glasses not strong enough or a combination!
Thanks again for the feedback as it eliminated something I hadn't even thought of.
      Good week all.
