  • First hardware ordered!

So I decided that the sim software was only going to get me so far in seeing how much I enjoyed RC helicopters, so I have placed my first order.
So based on comments and info on this forum and a few other websites this is what I've gone for...

    Blade mCX BNF
    Spektrum DX7

Ok, I guess the DX7 is a little overkill for the Blade mCX but I reasoned that if I then move onto a Blade CX2 and then bigger I can keep the same transmitter and it will do them all.
I also went for this as I did not want to spend money now and then have to buy something else at a later date.
I also got a case for the transmitter as I did not want it getting damaged as it was a tad expensive!

As for the Blade mCX, I went for this based on comments that this is an ideal starting point. I also wanted something I could use indoors at home without any issues.

I guess this is the start of much more spending!

I look foorward to posting feedback on my first flight.

Good choice there. The MCX should you want to get rid of it later will still have a value.. and being tough little things, hopefully will survive whatever you may crash into!

Have a play on the Phoenix, and if you progress to a larger collective pitch heli, I am sure it will come a lot quicker seeing that you have gone the route you chosen.

The more practice you get in on the sim the easier it will be. I managed to hover, and have enough confidence to take the training legs off my very first heli, which was a 30 sized nitro within the second tank of fuel(They didn't have the conta-rotationg helis when I started!).. and that was because of practicing on the sim....that was many moons ago, and the newer sims are even better!

Best of luck in your progression of this hobby!
