can always get the sport so youve got the belt drive so you dont strip the gears or break the tt and then you could buy the canopy of the pro
i must admit that the pro's canopy is better
but as everybody is saying its ur choice

I have a Pro and its excelent.
However I would worry about breaking the torque tube and gears as a beginner.
Ive never flown a sport so I cant comment on how much better the Pro is in the air, but I dont think a beginner (or even intermediate) will notice much difference.sigpic

I had a 450 Pro.. and it is a very nice helicopter, and flies VERY well...
but for me, a 450 has to be very durable, and to be a tough heli. The frame layout on the Pro is very strong, difficult to work on, BUT as alot have mentioned, the gears generally get chewed fairly easily.
Got another 2 450 sized helis, the Furion, and the Beam. Both which are belt driven, and even having some knocks, have never had to replace a belt as of yet. Both do what I want it to do, and don't really miss not having a shaft driven tail.
There are a few vids of the 450 Sport on Youtube, and although it is only the 'Sport' version, looks pretty much just as capable as the Pro!ANdy - CDMFC

just found this older thread and wondered if peoples thought are the same.
I already have the DX6i, and was wondering IF the blade would be worth buying or should i consider a T rex?
My idea is to strip it to bare bones and learn how to rebuild it bit by bit, learning what goes where, what does what, and how everything works, that way when i DO crash it, i can understand clearly myself whats broken, rather than having to wander to local model shop and pay ££££'s to get someone else to do it. And besides, it gives me something to do as i love learning how things do what.
I hear alot about the Blade being a good beginner, but needs alot of upgrades to make it last, but the T Rex options are all very confusing, and I'd rather get unbiased opinions here, rather than being misled by over eager sales people in a shop,

yes that is a bargain, however i need to be a member of the BMFA to contact the seller. Does one HAVE to be a member to fly heli's? Is it one of those 'must have' things or not?If I don't reply, it's probably because I am lost in a Field somewhere!
