phoenix on projector

well latley i managed to get my dad to bring home his works projector to try the flight sime out. I run the sim on my imac 24" but found flying the blade 400 was still quiet small

So out with the projector and suddenly the sim has a whole new life to it!

Just thought id ad a picture of how it looks i have found it far easier on the eyes and importantly much easier to use it for a longer period of time without getting un comfortable, I have also found iv begun to hover nose in with the 600 size and 450 size helis now its on a bigger screen which is a plus still not able to get a nice stable hover nose in on the blade 400 tho

I use Reflex on mine and if I put the projector at the back of the kitchen and shine it through to my dining room I can get the models 2 or 3 times larger than they are in real life.
The only problems are the sound, the engine noise comes from behind you, & unless you mount the projector at ceiling height you get a big shadow of yourself in the middle of the screen!!!

Be warned though, always find out how many hours is on the lamp, often they cost more than the projector!!

The sceptic in me thinks the resolution must suffer with prices that low for new... mind you I am to tired to be bothered to look
