thanks all, strange as it seems like a big weight of my shoulders....
1 of the newbie landmarks & well worth the practice on Pheonix taking in to flight.

Thats as memorable as the 1st few times you spool up & the sound of the rotors changes just before she lifts & your first few hovers.

It also turn quite windy on the south coast, so that was good practise on how a heli behaves in gusty blasts of wind..

I know it sounds like I'm blowing me own trumpet a bit, but I'm very pleased with myself now & I'm sure all the experienced flyers on here know where I'm coming from.

Next bid decison is what to add to my fleet for the Future!

Backwards is not an easy one to get your head around when you first start, I know some quite experienced flyers, that will go up and throw it around but do definately struggle with backwards.

well done keep up the good work
                    All the best

I just practised so much on Pheonix then plucked the courage to give it ago, fortunatley I can get away with pheonix on my work pc in my lunch break!!

But I still cant hold a perfectly stable hover, so its swings & roundabouts as they say.

I recently bought a camcorder, so will some vid's done when back from my holiday....
