When your Tx is turned off with the sim or buddy lead plugged in, it does not transmit radio, so uses very little power. Thise batteries should last you for a very, very long time.

Are they rechargeable tho? Or were you not going down that route?

I bought an Energider kit from Robert Dyas for about a tenner a while back. Came with a charger and four 2500mAH AA batteries and they lasted forever in the DX6i

No they're not but they do last for a while, my missus uses this type in her "Personal Massager?" and they seem to last ages, giving me more time to spend on my helis!!!!

I have the Trickbits one, its okay - cheap and works for me. Has a 4v output also for Rx.

Duracell do rechargeables, they last a heckuva long time, had mine in my DX6i's since last year and still going strong. And if you keep some spares, when they do run out you pop the spares in and put the old ones on charge. They're pricy mind, but worth it imo.
