hello all im jamie and I have just jumped into the heli world with both feet without even thinking about it and have probably wasted a bit of money on the way .....

It all started at the beginning of summer when i spotted a esky kob .. within days and several blades and frames later i was buzzing it round the house in no time . I then moved outside with it ( big no no ) so i decided to go into the barns on the farm which was a lot better . I then decided that i needed to move up in the heli world so i spoke to Heliguy and they suggested the esky belt cp ... It came through the post yesterday and it is now in my shed broken

I now know that after finding this forum i should of kept away from the esky's , even though the kob was fun im not to sure on the belt as the bloody batt moves about and the training gear holds on naff ......

So im on my knees begging for some knowledge on my broken belt ..

After i crashed it the rudder does not work anymore in flight , i have checked the controlls when on the ground and when doing the left and right rudder the rear rudder move like it should do , however when in flight and you use the left and right rudder it has no input on the helicopter and it just turns by itself and you cant correct it . there is also a slight nose which wasnt there before .... Any tips on things to check woul be great .

I am off out tomorrow to buy a sim an start to learn from that also if anyone is from the Loughborough area and would like to take a newbie under there wing please get in touch ..

many thanks for reading this jamie

        Hi Jamie

Don't beat yourself up mate, the trouble is most Heli's look dead cool no matter how cheap they are to the untrained eye, your not the first and defo won't be the last buddy.

When you can fly without learning issues craft like the Belt are well flyable, not completely enjoyable without some upgrade change overs, but to the complete novice trying to start off with a cheaply built machine can become problematic at best.

I'll give you a quick example, a member of our club went off and purchased a Mini Pred before telling us what he was doing, and in all honest it was toilet, I nearly stoved it twice before I mechanically adjusted the rods, tail servo, tightened all the loose head screws, basically it was a disaster waiting in the wings.

After spending some time with her she became flyable, but a handful all the same, and even though I could keep her steady it was totally enjoyable and I was pleased when it went back in it's box.

The member is now purchasing a Blade 400 RTF, and with help from us is practicing on Phoenix and in time he'll get there, so give thought to the offer above, as I can pretty much guarantee if you stick with the Belt the money you'll splash out on replacement parts with exceed the cost of a new set up with nothing to show for it, so put this down to experience mate.

I'm not saying the Belt can't be used to learn on, only it won't be doing you any favors in the long run.
