well, we did warn you.
i probably could be made to fly but without actually getting my hands on it its really hard the problem could be down to any of about 100 things.

They definitely do fly and there are quite a lot of them being sold here down under.
First check your pitch angle - should be around +4-5 degrees at centre stick. If thats OK must be something in the power train - check the main gear isn't binding on the motor pinion - should be some backlash to be felt the whole way round - if not it may be binding and losing power. Check the motor spins freely )after disconnecting from the main gear) without grittiness or glitches. Check the battery voltage - preferably under load.
If thats all OK the bird's jusy gotta go up - flying is a different story

you need to change the motor ..and the bec controler...and a good li-po battery,,,,and chamnge the resiever,,,so you can run you tranny...as the 1 supplyed ,,is naff..
after changing these....as carefull setup of the pitch,,,and curves..it will fly...
you do have to do loads to these helis to get them to fly... once ther setup...there good fun...

"hi mate are the walkeras as bad as wot some people here in the uk say, regards martyn"
I can't say how they are in the UK - I bought the 36 on the Mekong river in Thailand at Nong Kai (don't ask why). I thought the design was clever and it had some nice touches (GRP) blades, belt drive - not a bad radio. The main drawbacks were the NiMh 12V pack - heavy and bugger all capacity and some of the rotor head ball joints had very little "meat in plastic" and one or 2 came out easily after a ding.
I therefore took out all the ball joints in plastic and CA'd them back in and replaced the NiMh with a 3S 1000mah 15C lipo - which was too light and meant some CG changes.
Setting the pitch to 0/5/11 as per manual then resulted in a gentler flying and much less twitchy helo than my Twister 3D with brushless motor. The Walkera 60 sold here looks similar but has a nicer main frame. There is no doubt that my 36 is adequately powered for non 3D flight and as I haven't got to that can't comment. The local dealer says the quality has improved a lot in the past year and so maybe Ade's and others opinion is based on older stock.

like i said,,,,,these heli can be fun.......((mine flys fine now....after changing loads,,,,,,
the controls are very slopy.....((but work))
the truth is thay are very poorly made....and for the money go get a T-REX,,,
ive been flying my dragonfly for about 6month...the only good thing i can say about them is,,,the parts are silly cheep...
use these boys....http://www.rcmods.co.uk/
so it has the brushless motor....and cotroler..?
..
i set the pitch curve,,,up...first.....i would set it up as..-3/0/8
then set throttle,,curve..these need high head speed..
..i had to play around with the settings....
my pitch cuvre,,,im using a futuba 9c...so i have 5 piont curves..
pit-curve..19/26/50/70/85
thr-curve.0/25/57/79/100
my pitch endpoint is very small.....50/50..
this setting...will give you smoove hovering and easy to keep control..
..
also have to set up my tail....in norm mode...so the tail dont kick around...this is easy...to set...up....just bring the heli...almost lift on it skidds..and watch the tail,,,if its still,,,,then its ok...switch it to avs mode.
if the tail need rudder to keep still,,,,(just move the servo on the boom forward or back...small amount @ a time..till the tail stops moving the heli...
this is just standard on every heli tail setup..
the hards thing with these helis is the setup....to get them smoove...took me 3 complete smashes ...b4 i got the heli under control...
//and @ 28quid a smash.,,,,ie blades /shaftd/boom.blade gripps/..witch is very cheep.
so the main thing is to get her hovering...without it being twichy..thay need soft cotrols...20 or 15 expo...works a treat with the slop,,lol..
mine flys perfect on these settings..
if you need any more help ...just ask...
