    Just got to tell you this

    Well after a busy day of B & Q, planning bathroom refits then a mad blast out in the country on the big beast, I decided to round it off with another attempt at flying

    Only this time something just clicked 3 full flight packs (only took 3 with me ) lots of hovering, some forward and backward flight, initially by accident, some nice tail turns 90 degrees either way and hold a hover and........

    wait for it.........

    NO CRASH

    This is the first outing the 450 has had without ending in a substantial time on repairs, boy oh boy am I buzzing

    That was it really, just something for anyone who is in my position and learning to fly, it will happen, you will fly without crashing and you will, without doubt have the biggest, most stupid grin on your face ever

          well done there fella! not really in a position to comment as first flight ended after 10 seconds...badly..still i hope i get to where you are one day!

            It will happen and much quicker than you think. My first flight on the 450 probably lasted not much more than yours, ended in a tail blade strike and damaged front gears. Strange enough, second time up although it lasted longer, ended with the same problem

            The last flight, which was last weekend end, caused much much more damage, about 2 hours and lots of £££££ to rebuild him, but this time it just worked.

            Stick with it, that's all I can say, when it works you will know and it is a wonderful feeling

                Well done on the flying, I'm just starting to practice nose in hovering now on the sim and when I ready will try with my trusty tool my Blade 400.

                        What do you ride?
                        Thats my other drug! I have a GSXR 750 track bike and an Aprilia factory for the road. Went out for a few hours this afternoon (after watching Rossi whip there arses again) then home and a couple of packs through the pro. Luckily no B&Q for me today though!!

                            That's a nice collection you have in the garage

                            Got a K1200R at the moment, needed something quieter and more comfy after nearly 4 years of riding a duke, great bike but used to make the ears bleed

                            When you say Aprilia Factory I assume you mean and RSV Mille???

                              RSV Milli is the pre 04, I have post 04 (new shape) and its the factory version (Brembo's, Ohlins, OZ's loads of carbon etc) very bling
                              Very noisey as well!! hence electric heli, my neighbours would really love me if i started flying IC in the back garden!!
