  • What to chose and how much should I pay??

    Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this but have wanted a micro heli for messing about with for ages, then I'm offered 2 in 1 day!

Can you give me your advise please good or bad and how much I should be paying? The below is what I've been told by the seller:

Buzzflyer Micron V2 - Deal 2. Deluxe Micron + TX. Bought by me new March 2007 for £229. This is a more expensive and superior micro heli than the Buzz Fly SE.

ESky Honey Bee - HoneyBee Deluxe Deal bought Dec 06 for £149 which is definitely up the loft!

    Many Thanks
    Phil.

    Hi mate,

Depending on how much money you have top spend and depending where you are flying it and at what level you are at:

If your a beginner i would go for blade mcx....brilliant fun and a great way to get into the hobby(guys are selling them on this forum for a fraction of the cost)

however if you are an intermediate...i would go for a trex 250 brilliant inside and out.

steer clear of esky stuff you will have nothing but problems with them.

and and buzzflyer uk are very expensive.

The buzz you will not learn anything on really only the hovers....

    let me know.

      Hi M8.

I would suggest, as your new to this, that you go for the Blade CX2 (co-axial). Nice, easy (ish) heli to start with, and also, if you haven't already, get the best heli you could ever wish for in the world. It's called Phoenix Sim. The best investment you'll ever make.

      Phoenix, £80, www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/phoenix_simulator_(phoenix-sim1)-p-7481.html

Blade CX2, inc lipo, charger, dvd, tx, £118 approx. www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/blade_electric_coaxial_micro_heli_with_24ghz_trans mitte-p-1137.html

I wouldn't go for a trex 250. They are little 'pocket rockets' and are so fast. They are defo not a beginners heli.

      All the best,

      Chris.

Please don't rush me, I'm in too much of a hurry.

      CX2. Love it.
HoneyBee 2CP being a right pain. Need a new hammer.
      Phoenix. defying death safely.

Don't bother with the two that the seller told you. It's a waste of money IMO!
Listen to what others have said here, get yourself a flight sim (phoenix sim is favourite one over here) and a decent starter tx like dx6i. Start from it and you will know what you are after soon enough.
