  • Anyone in west sussex?

well after a while on the sim i decided to try and hover my blade 400 outside just to see how it felt as compared to the sim. i got her up about a foot and hovered for seconds before it took off forwards towards a bush. i cut the throttle but the spinning blades hit the shrubs and also the training gear which had pointed itself upwards and done the most damage.

After speaking to made2fade he suggested i check a few shafts and sure enough the feathering shaft is bent. and im yet to check the others as im just going to order all 3 shafts and blades etc.

He then suggested i get an experienced flyer to help fly and set the heli up for me to get it right for me so i can begin to learn, so is their anyone near RH19 that would be nice enough to lend a hand? expense will be covered as will food and a drink im sure

please help? very down about the amount of damage for such a low level bash.

Check the servo's, after the crash good chance one or more of them would stripped gears.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I ordered some spare main shafts and feather shafts when I brought my blade400, during my practice I have broke two sets of carbon blade's bent the main and feather shafts but now I can hold a hover, land and take off safely.

Just one thing I use a small tin hammer to straighten my shafts if they are not bent to bad. Saying that the shafts are pretty cheap as well so I would order a few shafts and silcon grease for the shafts also get some good tools for removing the allen bolts as cheap allen keys round off.

Be aware of the shim and thrust bearing order when taking the feathering shaft out!! It is a bit confusing the first tiome you change them.

The feather shafts are made of butter imo, but are cheap and easily enough replaced when youve done it a couple of times LOL..
