How do i get my FF9 working with realflight?

Got a T9CP with my raptor 50 and want to start using it wit my realflight G3.

I have the lead, have plugged it in, but it doesn't do a thing,
Now, I'm certain I have to "set it up" to work, but I don't know where to start...

If I use the "map controller channels" in realflight, it can see all the imputs from the TX, but it just doesn't translate into anythong when trying to 'fly' a heli....

The first thing to check when setting any transmitter up with a simulator is that it is in PPM mode, as you will find the channels will just jitter and do nothing if the radio is set to PCM.

Once you have done that, the next thing to check is the channel assigments, most simulators will give you a visual indication, usually by means of a horizontal slider, of the channels current state. By moving the sticks you should be able to see the visual indicators move on the screen.

If all is well there, then the next step is to assign the channel numbers to the various flight functions. In terms of futaba radio gear, this is 1 = Aileron, 2 = Elevator, 3 = Throttle, 4 = Rudder, 5 = Gyro gain and 6 = Pitch.

You might find as in the case of XTR you also have to assign the direction of the channels, if they are reversed or not. In this situation, I find it best to leave the channels operating in the "Normal" direction on the transmitter itself and to make all the adjustments in the simulator software. There are one or two "Gotcha's" in simulators like XTR, I'm not sure about G3, as I haven't used it myself. These are that they like to separate functions you would normally think is part of something else. For example, the throttle and pitch setup on XTR, is done individually, as you would expect to do on an actual model, however, there is an additional function called "Autorotation switch" in XTR, which is basically throttle hold, it's control therefore needs to be setup to channel 3 which is the throttle on a futaba radio.

Take things a step at a time, you will find it all comes together in the end
