  • First Flight

What a day, no wind and sunny, an ideal day to try flying a heli for the very first time.

Took my Raptor 30 out to the flying field and started to spool the baldes up when the protective coating came off one of the blades (at the tip), got a bit of a fright, I thought I had bust it without even getting it off the ground.

Anyway started hovering within 30secs of getting it in the air, well chuffed. Three tanks later and nobody was able to get the smile off my face. Another heli flyer checked over my heli before my 4 tank and only had to do a couple of adjustments and it hovers really well.

Anyway completely hooked and loving it. Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone on here who gave me advice on buying the right equipment and for set up advice.

For any beginners out there get a good sim, I could never managed what I did today without it.

It is not often that us Scots get two perfect flying days, especially at this time of year, but I will definitely be enjoying it as much as poss.

              Well done,
And you are soooo lucky, I had a week off work it either pi***d with rain or blew a gale EVERY BLOODY DAY,
Now I have a list of other jobs to do at home, so weekends are out at the moment.
Keep practising and well and ENJOY.
