esc 25amp ,30amp,40amp whats the difference

Could someone explain whats the difference between 25,30,40amp esc's plz
Trying to get my head around it ,does it go on motor size ?
Plus am I right you need a program card to setup the esc ?
Which setting should I use ?

The manual with your helicopter will tell you what specifacation Esc you require, and the manual with the Esc will show you how to set it up the amp is just part of the specs, basically the bigger and more powerful the heli the higher the amp, my K3 has a 25amp Esc and my Caliber has a 75amp Esc.
