HB CP2 with DX6i?

Just a quick one: now I have a DX6i transmitter with my Blade 400 , can I use it with my stock Honey Bee CP2? The standard one's OK but some of the Spektrum features would be useful if it's possible to bind it and set up as a separate model.

I'm not sure as the cp2 uses a 4in1 unit, chances are it wont mate but I wouldnt like to say for sure as I dont have one to study

If the CP2 is an Esky heli, it's possible to split the 4-in-1 unit on the heli, and use a spektrum receiver & half of the Esky unit. I did it on an Esky Lama, see this link: -

Should give you some idea. There are some posts on another site about doing this to a bigger heli, possibly a CP2? I'm not sure, cos it's past my bedtime, and I'm going now. If you are interested, post here or PM me, & I'll try and find the links. HTH

It is an Esky standard 4into1. No motivation to go adding separate parts - just would have been good to try some different set-ups.
Out of interest, what's the 4into1 - Rx, speed control, Gyro (and mixer, I guess?)

Think it's Rx, Gyro, Main motor esc and Tail motor esc.

I spektrumised a Honey Bee FP with an AR6100, 2 escs and a Telebee HH gyro. Couldn't find any real advantage as crashes where the standard heli would just bounce undamaged instead caused breakages every time because of the extra weight and higher head speed.

Eventually became uneconomical to repair so now I'm flying a standard stock one again - much better

As I said, it's possible to use the ESCs and Gyro from the Esky unit - the spektrum has the servo inputs as in a normal setup, and you then use 2 leads from the spektrum into the Esky bit.
