Hiya,
I have this model and had to replace the tailboom. You firstly have to disconnect the motor connector at the 4 in 1 box. If memory serves me corrrect you cannot fit the plug through the tailboom to you must de-solder it at the MOTOR end.
Once this is done you can remove the wire by pulling it though the tailboom. Next thing is to remove the tailboom. I have superglued my boom in and managed to snap it so used a suitable drill bit to drill out the frame.
Is yours glued in? If so cut it as close to the heli frame as possible then drill out the remains as I did. Normally the tail end is not glued so it is just a case of pulling it out.
After all that you should have a frame with a clean hole (no pun intended) and a tail unit with motor and tail blade ready for the new boom.
Insert the tail wire down the boom and refit the tail unit, you can now re-solder the wires to the motor. Guide the wire through the frame towards the 4 in 1 unit insert the boom to the frame plug the wire in and you are done.

Hi mate,
There is no easy way to get it out I'm afraid.
Its superglued in.
You have to desolder and remove the wires from the tailmotor, pulling them totally out of the boom at the frame end, and then try and soften up the glued joint with acetone.
If the acetone doesnt help You may have to cut it off at the joint and then with a drill and sharp knife remove the remnants from the frame.
You then repeat the process at the tail gearbox end
Cheers,
Gazza

At least it is cheap :-) I seem to remember mine always moving so I superglued it. I ain't flown it in a while as it needs some main blades. I think I will dig it out of the cupboard and get it flying. Great for scaring people in the loungeOriginally posted by gazzaMine was superglued both ends mate.
