A friend of mine brought his newly built Rex 500 over last night for its first pre flight tests.

I have got in the habit of testing all the electrics together off the heli before I install them which is what we did last night.

Then you can program esc and test the motor and servos.

After we set up a freinds heli, we had problems with the Tx he was using and had to buy a new TX and went from 35 to 2.4 any ways after fitting and setting up the TX we span it up for the first time... the Ecs did not like the new RX and went in to full speed. luckly it was on a -pitch. i was the lucky soul that had to reach under the heli and pull the batt cable apart... not easy as the deans where new and griped to each other very well lol.

any ways ever since that day, and new setups i remove the main blades, and make sure i have hold of the heli to stop the tail spinning round.

Bloody elec heli's, i managed to get the bits together to fix up my GL450, and now eveytime i connect the battery the damm speed controller kicks into full throttle no matter how i have the throttle stick or reverse the throttle on tx.

i know i could disconect the motor to set up the blade pitch and stuff but this damm esc is supposidly new, i tell you i am at the stage now where i am ready to chuck the damm elecs on ebay get what i can and then save up and get a nitro, less bloody trouble i think.

no make on the esc, no instructions, it looked brand new , not a mark on it.

it seems i have an uncanny nack for buying crap, belive it or not i am into over 300 quid and still nothing airworthy, just dont think i am very good at this, or i am just to bloody trusting.
