  • Hooks or fluffy bits?

Does anyone know whether there a standard for which half of a sticky-back vecro strip goes on the aircraft and which half goes on the battery?

I dislike Velcro, 'cos it always seems to attract muck, but need a little less slippage between my batteries and aircraft, in first instance a plane but nevertheless still a relevant question in a heli forum.

So, should I put the fluffy half on the batteries and the hooks on the aircraft, or the other way around?

    Cheers,

    Tim.

fluffy (loop) on batteries and hooks on the aircraft Thats the way i do it anyways. Then when i keep the spare lipos in my case they dont stick on to anything as the loop part is just fluffy as you already know.

Doesn't really matter. But sharing batteries is helpful!

Always use the hard stuff on the airframe and fluffy stuff on batts or receivers or accessories, it doesn't scratch if you have batts in your pocket!

Most people I know do it this way too!

I will say that I tend to put the hooks on the part that is the most rigid and/or flat. The plastic hook section of velcro seems to be a little less flexible than the loop part. Whilst a LiPo is pretty rigid, they are often slightly curved so I out the loops on them and the hooks onto the battery tray.

hooks on the battery, and then I stick them to the carpet in the boot of the car when I'm not flying them
