  • Knight 50 ordered today

Thats it I placed my order for my Knight 50 - just dont tell the missus.
So what electrics do I use.
I want a digi receiver, which one you reckon?
I might order a 611/9256 from one of the rep o/seas people on here - I know rthis is more that I need but then I will be buying the best
I want to use Futaba servos as well
4 9255's seem the best option
    Any help/advice would be appreciated

9255 is a bit over the top for the throttle. I have an 811 on the throttle of the knight S3152 is better.

Would 3152s be ok for servos - i'm adding the costs up and this is costing more than I thought... would the 3152's get me through the first year, then I could upgrade later?

Daft question - my 50 has just arrived - it looks very solid, very impressed.
A real noobie question I am afraid
                In the instructions
                1. Are nylon holder nuts nylock nuts?
                2. M3 x 16 Cap head head screws - how do I identify these in the bag of bits 16mm long? (these are the ones fixing the skids)
Any tips for me - sorry for the damn fool questions...

I dont seem to have the 90-032 M3 nuts to fit the stabiliser blade to he stabiliser bars - the only m3 nuts i have are nyloc ones whichare too big to fit in the slot in the blade, unless I am missing something

Also... the engine hasnt arrived yet... can I put it in after the rest of the build, or should I wait
                    Can anyone help?

I havnt found the nuts to be useful. the combination of the paddles biting on the flybar thread and the set screw is enough.

the engine can go in last. that is not an issue.

How right does the tail belt need to be?

push a finger through the hole in the frame you shouldnt be able to touch the 2 halves of the belt together with "some" pressure.

I am connecting the servos to the links....
There is a ball and a screw and a nut..
do these need to be blue loctited?
Which horn do I use on the srve (the four arm one?)
The compass guide says on futaba use the 13.5 from centre hole...
Do i enlarge this so I can use the screw provided with the kit??
Also the weights on the flybar turn around but wont slide... whats causing this?
                            Ade u there?? ;-)

I am wondering whether setiing up the links to the gyros is the last thing I should do...
