Had another hour or so's flying time last night, and yet again made some decent progress! Ive been really practicing circuits over the past couple of weeks, and have been getting pretty confident flying and hovering side-on. last night i tried as much as possible to bring it back in nose-in, or almost nose-in. i eventually felt like i cracked it! at the end of the night i held a nose in hover at about 40 or 50ft for about 10 seconds
I actually found it much easier to progress to this stage by using forward flight, as i found it much more stable, and also found that i had much more time to react to its movements as i could much more easily see it tilting either way. the biggets problem i had was the wind! it was about 10-15mph i guess and when turning away from the wind after flying in to it, it was stalling and drifting back towards me sideways rather than keeping a nice constant curve like ive been able to do previously. i still havnt put any negative on my pitch curve so i think that will help a lot when i do it tomorrow
