  • Twitchy servos?

Hi all, just noticed that with very small stick inputs, on bench checks, the servos on my HB CP2 twitch a little.
I'm only just learning and at the tail in hover stage - first few without training balls tonight and all went well so dead chuffed . Seems to fly OK, but is this twitching "normal" or a sign of impending doom waiting to ruin my confidence?
By the way, the original fit feathering shafts must be made of cheese, they are not dead straight from new and bend at the slightest clip of the blades. The toughened ones I just fitted from Buzzflyer are so much better and tracking is spot on.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi Tony. Could be your Tx pots need cleaning if it's the original Esky one. I'll PM you a link on cleaning them

My esky servos did buzz a bit and you could feel them moving if you put your finger on them, but they didnt visibly move.

What radio gear is it 35mhz or 2.4gig?

        Hi Holst,
2.4G. Bugster has sent me a Tx cleaning link so I'll give that a go and feed back the outcome.
As always, thanks for the prompt advice and interest.

If you were on 35meg then it might have been a sign of interference which could cause you big problems. As your on 2.4 then it will either work or it wont.

Can you post the cleaning link here as it might come in handy for somebody else.

Don't want to be difficult but it's Bugster's PM link so up to him if posted.

No probs - just didn't want to upset anyone by linking to another forum that's why I PM'd it. Here it is:-

The Tx pot cleaning did the trick, no sign of any servo twitches now. Handling is so much smoother.
I used RS switch cleaner, then PTFE.
                Thanks for that,
