feathering spindle?

Hi all, just rebuilt my raptor 30 after a mis-hap but 1 thing bother's me? I noticed the feathering spindle sit's flush with the bearing 1 side but not the other?? So when i tighten up the rota grip's they feel a bit stiff?? Am i doing something wrong

You 100% you have the exact amount of washers/bearings etc either side?

yep all there is it ment to sit flush with the bearing both side's?

Sounds like it may not have been assembled properly. Are you sure both sides got a spacer between the grips and the head block, and there should be a washer on the cap bolt before it is tightened onto the spindle. Both grips should move freely, and have minimal sideways play.

The spindle is pretty flush with the bearings before tightened down.

yeah everything where it should be i'm gonna take it apart again and start again..
