  • ESKY Web site?

    Hi folks

Just bought myself a new Honey Bee cheap on ebay. I know that it will be difficult to fly but I tend to do things the hard way. I intend to upgrade to a bigger electric heli when I have got the hang of this.

Very impressed with what you get for the money these days. I used to make small free flight model planes and gave up before miniature digital proportional radio became affordable.

First Question. The manual suggests downloading a flight simulator from the ESKY web site but this seems to have disappeared. Any suggestions, apart from buying an expensive simulator.

      ESKY Web Site

      Thanks IMW.

Now I need to get or make an interface cable.

Have seen instructions for the Walkera cable, is this the same connection as the Honey Bee?

I think that the leads are fairly generic and not tied to a particular model. Tried briefly with the one that came with the Esky but I work on computers all day and could not get motivated to spend more than 5 minutes on this......therefore failed and used my analogue joystick. Can't even remember what connection type it was or even where it plugged in!!!!!

The walkera and esky lead specs are not the same, XTR leads use different pins, I have the pin out somewhere... will try to post the info here tomorrow.

i wouldnt personally waste my time with FMS. spend 80ukp on phoenix it will help you learn to fly anything and everything and help you improve your skills all the way through your life in models.

FMS is by no means the world's greatest flight sim, but it will give you some idea of what is involved, but you will grow out of it very quickly.
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                And a DX8 too

It sounds like Phoenix is the way to go for more advanced flight but FMS certainly helped me to get to the hovering stage. The model of the Honeybee CP1 seems very realistic with this sim - it echoes the responsiveness and reaction to wind that I have found in reality with the CP2.

Hi, I was just wondering if you tell me how you managed this. I've just installed AFPD but the program is not recognizing my ESKY dummy controller.
                        Thanks for your help.
